PURPOSE:To attain reduction in color slurring. CONSTITUTION:The leading edge of a transfer material is detected by a detector 2 before a transfer is performed, and the out of synchronism of the leading edge detection of the transfer material with the horizontal synchronization of an optical scan is detected by a control part 30. Then, a frequency divider 121 is controlled by the control part 30 according to the out of the synchronism obtained by the detection, to control the rotation speed of a rotary polygon mirror 7, and a signal for regulating the leading edge of an image and a horizontal synchronizing signal are outputted by the control part 30 after the leading edge is detected by the detector 2 after a prescribed time lapses. |
