This invention concerns the connection of telephone apparatus and headsets to a telecommunications system without the telephone apparatus and the headset in combination requiring to be matched to the telecommunications system. To achieve this aim matching and switching equipment has been arranged between the telephone apparatus/headset and the connection to the telecommunications system. The switching equipment comprises a switching function which connects the telephone apparatus or the headset. The switching equipment also comprises a matching circuit to the telephone network which means that the headsets which are matched to the matching circuit can be used. <IMAGE> |
