The initiator circuit comprises an oscillator with two current reflectors of opposite conductivity type (T1, T2; T3, T4) with an external parallel oscillation circuit (L1, C1) and resistance (R1) and an internal demodulator. The oscillator is coupled to a voltage/current converter (T5, R6) providing an output which controls an integration stage (7). The voltage/current converter (T5, R6) is coupled via the demodulator output (9) and a current reflector (T7, T8) to a constant current sink (T6, R5) with a reference circuit (R3, R4, D2, 5) coupled to a limiting circuit (8) which in turn is coupled to a current source (4), an internal reference voltage (Uref) and the base of one current reflector transistor (T1). ADVANTAGE - Constant switch threshold and temp. independent amplitude limitation.
