<p>PURPOSE:To achieve an efficient recovery processing by only changing energy by delivering preliminary ink jets at least 10<3> times through the supply of the energy at least 1.4 times the min. energy necessary for forming air bubbles. CONSTITUTION:In the operation of a recording head to recover its original operated condition in the case of an improper ink jet, the amount of electric energy to be supplied to an ink jet energy producing element such as electric heat converting element for generating the heat energy for use as the ink jet energy is made at least 1.48 times the min. amount of the electric energy required upon recording. In a circuit for effecting a specific forcible recovery of the ink jet performance, MPU 51 has a clock or timer and controls the various operations at the time of recording. A control panel 52 is provided with a key for designating a forcible recovery mode and the other modes in addition to a record starting key. A recovery jet routine 56 for the forcible recovery mode is stored in ROM 53.</p> |
