Apparatus for determining the concentration of cations based on the application of voltammetric measurements, comprising a cell partitioned by a separation wall haivng a slot into two compartments, a first compartment which houses a solid electrode of glassy-carbon onto which mercury is disposited, a reference electrode and a counter-electrode, and a second compartment which houses an inlet tube with an inlet port and an outlet tube with an outlet port for feeding and discharging a solution to be tested. Both tubes are passed through the slot to compel the solution being tested to travel along a U-like route to contact all the testing electrodes simultaneously. Means are provided for amplifying and detecting the signal relevant to the measurement of the cation concentration. |
