PURPOSE:To eliminate mixture of inks in different colors and to prevent deterioration in image quality arising from blot without letting image outputting speed decrease greatly in formation of images by multidroplet method executed by multiscanning. CONSTITUTION:In the case where pixels in different ink colors are placed adjoining each other on a material whereon recording is made, a scanning for formation of an image in either one of the two different colors is executed in a scanning process (scan 4) wherein a liquid droplet is selectively shot from an ejection port after execution in a scanning process (scan 3) wherein the liquid droplet is not shot from the ejection port. Because of the above-mentioned scanning operations, a lag comes to exist in timing of ejections to the adjoining pixels, enabling the ink droplet to one pixel to be shot only after fixation of the ink droplet to another pixel. Thereby color mixture arising from blot can be prevented. |
