<p>PURPOSE:To provide a method for setting pointing device operation environment capable of simply setting up the operation environment of a mouse which is appropriate for a user with respect to an information processor using the mouse or the like. CONSTITUTION:This system is provided with the house 1, an event judging part 2 for receiving events such as the moving distance of the mouse 1, click length and the interval of double click, a timer 5 for counting the time of each event, a control part 3 for setting up an operation environment from each event and its event time, an environment storing part 6 for storing a set value, and a display device 4. When the mouse 1 is operated in accordance with a dialogue box display, the operation environment of the mouse is set up from the event information.</p> |
