PURPOSE:To obtain good electrostatic chargeability and flowability by incorporating a quaternary ammonium salt and triphenyl methane deriv. as a charge control agent. CONSTITUTION:This toner contains coloring agents, a resin having an acid group and the quaternary ammonium salt and the triphenyl methane deriv. as the charge control agent(CCA). A styrene/acryl copolymer into which an acid component, such as acrylic acid, is introduced, polyester resin, epoxy resin are used as the resin having the acid group. The CCA is added preferably at 0.1 to 3.0wt.% to the total resin component. The mixing ratio of the quaternary ammonium salt and the triphenyl methane deriv. is preferably 1/4 to 4/1. The positively charged toner, into which the CCA is uniformly dispersed in this way, has the good flowability, rises fast in electrostatic charge and has a good property to sustain the charge. The degradation in image density, fogging and toner splashing are decreased. |
