<p>PURPOSE:To improve measurement precision and provide a display comprehensible to a user by calculating the body fat rates measured multiple times to obtain the final body fat rate. CONSTITUTION:When a user is seated on a toilet seat 7, a seating sensor 12 detects the seated state and starts measurement after a preset period elapses. The infrared light 21 is radiated and diffused from the light emitting element 10a of the detector 10 of a body fat meter, and the light 21 reflected on the thigh section 20 of the user is received by light receiving elements 10c, 10e respectively via filters 10b, 10d. The standard body fat rate is calculated by a controller based on the received light quantities and the height and weight data of the user inputted in advance, and the measured data are calculated via the preset calculation equation to obtain the actual body fat rate. The detection by a detector 10 is performed multiple times, and the average body fat rate is calculated by the preset calculation and displayed on a display section 6. The display section 6 compares the actual body fat rate with the standard body fat rate and displays the relevant one among pictures divided into five stages together with the actual body fat rate in percentage.</p> |
