INSPECTION METHOD FOR LONG LIGHT TRANSMITTING MATERIAL

PURPOSE: To enable inspection of a formation of a long material in fields of photography, fiber, print with the utilization of an observer's physical, psychological power while restricting his or her fatigue as much as possible. CONSTITUTION: Light beams are emitted to one side of a transmissive long material 1 as flash beams of an emission time t1 from a light source 5 which generates the light beams having a required color and a required intensity and penetrating the long material. A camera 10 is arranged at the other side of the long material 1. The camera 10 receives the beams passing through the long material 1, converts to video signals and outputs to a video monitor device with a screen. The long material 1 is adapted to move not larger than a limit during the emission of beams to prevent an image from being out of focus as a result of the movement. The image taken in from the camera 10 is formed to a visually related standard image on the screen of the video monitor device.
