LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY DEVICE

PURPOSE:To obtain the liquid crystal display device which has high brightness, no brightness unevenness, and no dark part on its display surface while maintaining nearly the same power consumption as before. CONSTITUTION:A light transmission plate 3 is used and a liquid crystal cell is arranged on its surface. A couple of L-shaped lamps 5 are arranged nearby one of two adjacent flanks of the light transmission plate, e.g. flank 4 while partially extending and facing each other. A reflecting plate 25 is arranged nearby the tips 23 of the L-shaped lamps 6 which partially extend and on one flank positioned nearby the extension part 24 of the tip.
