<p>A method of baking enamel on a metal object, particularly an aluminium object (2), on which an enamel frit slip has already been deposited over part of the surface, followed by the production of a bisque on the said object, comprises the step of exposing the object to infrared radiation of a predetermined maximum emission wavelength in a baking chamber (1).
