Drying system for metal pipe before surface treatment e.g. polymer coating - which heats with inductive loops with a warmed airstream passing through spiral loops

A drying system uses inductive loops (2) for inductive heating and with a warmed airstream to increase the effectiveness of the drying. The air is warmed by passing through the inductive loops, replacing all or some of the cooling medium for the loops. The air is ducted into the loops from each end, near the connections to the main conductors (5). The loops are wound in spirals and the air exit holes (4) are positioned to produce a swirl effect over the surface of the pipe (8) to be treated. The air can be the sole coolant for the loops, or can be in a divided duct, for part air cooling, part liquid. ADVANTAGE - Low cost, low temp, effective drying of pipe prior to polymer coating.
