MANUFACTURE OF RESIN MOLDING

PURPOSE:To provide a method for manufacturing a resin molding whereby the appearance of the molding can be kept good while residual distortion is prevented so as to prevent changes in the size of the molding with time. CONSTITUTION:A cavity 5 in the form of a side molding is provided comprising a fixed mold 3 and a movable mold 4 and a gate is opened through the cavity 5 and the movable mold 4 serving as the non-designed side of the side molding is provided with a compression mold 7 which is so formed to be slidable and capable of moving back and forth into the cavity 5, while the peripheral edge portion of the non-designed face is left uncovered. The process of manufacturing a resin molding includes the steps of injecting a resin material 13 into the cavity 5 from the gate and compressing the resin material 13 in the cavity 5 by moving the compression mold 7 into the cavity 5.
