PURPOSE:To divide a picture into pictures having a proper size to display them as windows independently of the character size of characters displayed on the display picture. CONSTITUTION:A control part 13 controls a sentence display part 10 so that the picture on the sentence display part 10 is divided as desired to display each sentence as a window. That is, the control part 12 checks the character size displayed on a picture 11 at present when a picture dividing command key of an input part 12 is depressed. The number of vertical rows and the number of horizontal characters of the picture 11 on the sentence display part 10 are obtained based on this character size, and sizes of windows on the sentence display part 10, namely, numbers of vertical rows and numbers of horizontal characters of respective windows to be displayed on the picture 11 are obtained based on them. The number of horizontal characters of each window is used to center the characters of a title of each divided picture, and the number of vertical rows and the number of horizontal characters of each set window are used to display a sentence on each divided picture as the window. |
