The invention relates to an articulation for a folding container intended to allow the folding down of panels flat to reduce the volume of the empty container. According to the invention, the articulation consists of a strip (7) fixed to each of the panels (5 and 6) to be joined and has the properties of folding in the longitudinal direction and of rigidity in the transverse direction. The strip (7) has a tubular internal structure which defines the longitudinal direction. The strip (7) comprises flexible external walls (8 and 9) connected by rigid central ribs (10).
