The recycled plastics sound barrier wall in which plants can be planted, is triangular in cross section. It comprises a frame (1) standing on a short side, and its long side (12) at right angles to it rising vertically. The frame is reinforced by a cross brace (2). The hollow long side (12) is filled with tongued and grooved (22, 23) rectangular inserts (21). The hypotenuse (6) of the frame has pockets (8) angled at about fifteen degrees from the vertical let into its outer skin (7), and plants (13) are set in these pockets (8). USE/ADVANTAGE - Cheap to produce and simple to erect, in one piece and non corrosive.
