The sliver material is carried from the cans to each drawing unit at each spinning station by a continuous belt above each can. The belt passes round a deflection roller near the drawing unit which, together with another roller forms the paired feed rollers to the drawing unit. The rotary speed of the feed roller pair is slower than the surface speed of the following pairs of rollers in the drawing unit. The deflection roller for the continuous belt has a larger dia. than the other roller of the pair and has a direct drive, while the other roller is a pressure roller. The pressure roller has adjustment towards the belt deflection roller. Alternatively, the pressure roller is powered by a roller along the length of the assembly and the belt deflection roller is part of the pressure carrier at the drawing unit. A three-cylinder drawing unit is after the deflection roller and pressure roller pair or the drawing unit is a double cylinder system. The level of the continuous belt which carries the sliver is covered by sliding runners. ADVANTAGE - The system gives a simple sliver supply and delivery operation, and gives a defined ratio in the transfer of the sliver to the drawing units.
