PURPOSE:To provide an image forming device capable of easily discriminating whether a drum unit is attached or not and whether the drum unit is new or old. CONSTITUTION:In the image forming device 1 provided with the interchangeable drum unit 3, a 1st detecting means Se2 for detecting whether the drum unit 3 is attached or not, a 2nd detecting means Se1 for detecting whether a recording paper exists in a paper feeding path P or not, and a decision means 10 for deciding that the drum unit is exchanged for the new drum unit 3 when the 1st and the 2nd detecting means Se2 and Se1 have specified logic are provided. |
