PURPOSE:To provide a method, by which sheet material having high thermal deformation temperature such as composite material employing superplastic alloy and high efficiency synthetic resin as matrix materials is easily formed by utilizing vacuum suction force. CONSTITUTION:A ceramic mold 28 is firstly formed by drying a green mold 12, which is produced by copying a product master with ceramic slurry by a casting method and, after that, hermetically placed on a pressure reducing plate 16 by means of hermetic sheet 26 and the like and dried and fired through vacuumization under the actuation of a vacuum pump 21 and direct heating with heaters 14, 24 and the like imbedded in or brought into contact with a mold. In succession, forming material sheet is set on the ceramic mold under the condition as it is so as to be hermetically formed again under vacuum and heat. Accordingly, the cost of equipment, man-hours and time required for forming are remarkably lowered. |
