摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain a member low in a wear rate by specifying the content of Y2O3 in a zirconia sintered compact, the constitution of its crystal system, the regulation of its average grain size, its bulk density and its wear rate by a ball mill. CONSTITUTION:This is a member for a pulverizer constituted of a zirconia sintered compact contg. 2.0 to 4.0 molar % Y2O3, in which the crystalline structure of the sintered compact contains no monoclinic zirconia on the surface subjected to mirror-like finishing as well as constituted of tetragonal system zirconia in which its system is changed to a monoclinic one by pulverizing treatment after the sintered compact is subjected to heat treatment and is gradually cooled and in which the average particle size of the sintered compact is regulated to <=2.5mu, the bulk density of the sintered compact is regtulated to >=5.98g/cm<3> and the wear rate of the above sintered compact having a form as media for pulverizing is regulated to >=0.1%. The above member is excellent in wear resistance and impact collapsing resistance and has suitable hardness, so that the sintered low in a wear rate as a member for a pulverizer can be obtd.
