PURPOSE:To assign performance information to a sound source which has a limited maximum sound generation quantity so that a sound generation state close to a natural musical instrument is generated without any feeling of physical disorder. CONSTITUTION:When there is a free sound generation channel, the performance information is assigned to the free sound generation channel (step 12). When there is not the free sound generation channel, namely, when the performance information is assigned to all sound generation channels, the latest performance is assigned to the oldest sound generation channel to which performance information is assigned among >=m, e.g. >=3 sound generation channels to which performance information of the same pitch is assigned. Thus, the latest performance information is assigned and then one sound of the same pitch is forcibly erased. |
