REDUCED CHARACTER DISPLAY SYSTEM

摘要

PURPOSE:To make it possible to read a character by remaining the image of the whole character as much as possible even if it is displayed with reduced character much smaller than the original dot font on the display device of which number of picture element is few by reducing and displaying the dot pattern or font pattern after the graduation processing is performed for the patterns. CONSTITUTION:The font pattern of the designated character code is taken out from a font pattern storage device 1 and it is expanded to the dot pattern in a dot expansion processing part 2. The dot pattern for which the graduation processing was performed in a graduation processing part 5 is reduced in a reduction processing part 3 and is displayed on a display device 4. A graduation settled font pattern storage device 6 preliminarily storing the graduation settled font patterns that the graduation processing was performed for the font patterns corresponding to all character codes is provided. The graduation settled font pattern for the designated character code is taken out from the graduation settled font pattern storage device 6 and is expanded to the dot pattern in the dot expansion processing part 2. Subsequently to it, the dot pattern is reduced in a reduction processing part 3 and is displayed on the display device 4.
