<p>Oil separator tank, esp. for use as receptacle for emulsions from oil slicks which have been skimmed off the level of surface waters, is made of glass fibre reinforced plastic in a semicylindrical shape. Several sections can be extended telescopically if a greater demand exists. Baffle plates at the inflow end act as antiturbulence elements. Swivelling skimmers at the outflow end remove the floating oil. Tank saves wt. compared with steel structures and is easily adapted to changing requirements. Plastic resists attack by acids and other corrosive agencies.</p> |
