PURPOSE:To miniaturize a light switch by setting plural switching positions, thereby making it possible for optical fibers to have plural switching forms. CONSTITUTION:In an optical switch, a triangular guide hole 12 is formed in a sleeve 11 and fixing side optical fibers 13 are fixed and held in the hole, while switching side optical fibers 15 or the sleeve 11 are movably held by an ultrasonic motor (drive mechanism) and their base ends are connected to each other in a loop form. When the ultrasonic motor is operated to move the switching side optical fibers 15 to the corner parts of the adjacent guide hole 12, the switching side optical fibers 15 are held at the positions to which they are moved, and thus the switching side optical fibers 15 are switched to the fixing side optical fibers 13. |
