PURPOSE:To provide a thermal transfer image receiving sheet which can discriminate between a front and a rear in a printer and gives an attractive image. CONSTITUTION:In a thermal transfer image receiving sheet wherein a dye acceptor layer is formed on, at least one side surface of a substrate sheet, a front or rear-detecting mark which is incapable of being discriminated visually or is not conspicuous is formed on, at least, one side surface of the front and rear.
