The connector according to the invention comprises a card bearing:
- means for positioning the card in an insertion position,
- means for holding the card in the reading position parallel to a median plane of the connector and in contact with elements providing the electrical connection of the circuits of the card to an apparatus where the connector is installed.
<??>The positioning means (14, 15, 16, 17, 18) comprise a groove (101) which is intended to receive a first side (102) of the card (100), while the card (100) is in inclined position with respect to the plane (P). The positioning means (15-18) and the means (19) for holding the card (100) in the reading position are situated in contact with the first side (102) and with a second, opposite side (105); the card (100) passes from the inclined position to the reading position by tilting around an axis belonging to the groove (101).
