<p>A main body portion (2) of an ignition device comprises a gas tank (7), a valve mechanism (8) for opening/closing the supply of gas from the gas tank (7) and a piezo-electric unit (20). A jet-out nozzle (26) for jetting out the gas is provided in the forward end of a rod-like metallic cylindrical member (25), and a hard gas pipe (28) for leading the gas is provided to extend through the metallic cylindrical member (25). A lead wire (33) is fitted through the gas pipe to electrically connect the jet-out nozzle (26) at the forward end to a terminal member (34) at the other end, to thereby provide a rod-like extension (3), the base portion of this extension (3) is engaged with an engageable portion (6c) of the main body portion, so that both members are engaged integrally with each other and assembled together. With this assembling, the gas pipe (28) of the extension (3) is connected to the valve mechanism (8) of the main body portion (2) and the piezo-electric unit (20) of the main body portion (2) is electrically connected to the metallic cylindrical member (25) of the extension (3). <IMAGE></p> |
