DENITRATION CONTROL DEVICE AND METHOD

PURPOSE:To control NH3 feed not to fluctuate NOX concn. of outlet side as possible at the start of engine or at the time of load change in a selective catalytic reduction denitration. CONSTITUTION:An adsorption amount of NH3 on a catalyst 3 of the denitration reactor 4 changes according to load change of engine. Increase of load of the internal combustion engine 1 is detected by the load sensor 5 and is inputted into the control device. Increase amount of NH3 adsorption on the catalyst 3 is calculated by the experimental data and the signal from the load sensor. NOX value of the outlet does not sharply increase when an amount of NH3 added with the increasing amount is fed in a short time even if NH3 is adsorbed by the catalyst.
