<p>PURPOSE:To charge a capacitor mounted on an automobile as electric power unit for starting an engine, to a sufficiently necessary degree. CONSTITUTION:When a capacitor 7 is used as power source unit for engine start, an engine temperature sensor 8 is installed to detect the engine temperature, and the aimed charge voltage set in a controller 5 is set to the value corresponding to the engine temperature. When the charge voltage reaches an aimed value, a relay contact point 3-1 is turned OFF, and electric charge is completed. Since, when the engine temperature is low, the aimed electric charge voltage is low, the electric charge over necessity is obviated in comparison with the conventional case where electric charge is carried out to a high voltage for starting the engine at low temperature independetly of the engine temperature, and also the electric charging time can be shortened.</p> |
