PURPOSE:To obtain a method for measuring easily and quickly the grade of limestone with high accuracy by disintegrating the limestone to <=5mm to prepare a sample, holding the sample at 200 deg.C, 650 deg.C and 1,000 deg.C, respectively, measuring the average weights and calculating the grade of the limestone from the measured values. CONSTITUTION:A heat resistant vessel which holds the sample 1 is imposed to a weight measuring instrument 7 and electric heating wires 3, 4 are disposed to enclose the circumference thereof. A slidac for regulation of electric heating is provided and a temp. control device consisting of a temp. controller attached with a temp. measuring sensor such as thermocouple for temp. measurement is provided. The sample is prepd. by disintegrating the sample to <=5mm and is put into the heat resistant vessel 2 where the sample is heated and is held at 200 deg.C, 650 deg.C and 1,000 deg.C. The average weights W1, W2, W3 respectively thereof are then measured. The grade alpha(%) of the limestone is determined by the equation alpha(%)={(W2-W4)/W1}X(100/44)X100. |
