Tug boat winch, consisting of: a main gear, a rope drum, a motor, heads, and a rope laying device with a chain wheel and a clutch; the gear of the winch is turnably mounted on an intermediate shaft, and that intermediate shaft is supported in the main gear, characterized in that the gear (7) joins the motor (2) with the rope drum (15) through: the toothed surface (11) located on the outside of rotating supports (6) of that wheel, and through a moving clutch disk (14); whereas the intermediate shaft (5) is joined with the head (30) through the coupled shaft (31), and the gear (4) is supported on the intermediate shaft (5) via hub surfaces (20, 21); besides, a toothed sleeve (26) is located slideably on the gear (23) of the rope laying device, and that sleeve (26) is on one side coupled with the gear (23) via an overload component (27), and on the other side, that sleeve is coupled with the sliding clutch (28).<IMAGE>
