Device for assembling tubes of the sort of those including fastening members fixed along one of the tubes, or uprights, and a fastening member fixed to each of the ends of the other tube, or crossmember, characterised in that the upright (1) includes at least one roller (3) exhibiting a peripheral bead (4) forming, around the said tube, a groove (5), and in that the fastening member fixed to each of the ends of the crossmember (2) is in the form of a jaw, the upper jaw element (11-9-12) of which is capable of wedging into the aforementioned groove by bearing, on the one hand, against the tube (1) and, on the other hand, against the flared side (6) of the said groove. Means are provided on the lower jaw element (10) for providing automatic locking of the crossmember (2) onto the upright (1). <IMAGE>
