PURPOSE:To shorten the transferring time of picture data and to increase a processing speed by preparing a reduced picture for a layout and peforting the picture forming of the original picture using of the layout position information, on the side of performing the input/output of the picture for the layout. CONSTITUTION:An image controller 210 reduces the picture data transmitted from a color scanner 100 in a picture reduction part 260 and stores it in a memory block 230. A layout controller 270 is equipped with the only number of pictures capable of performing the layout within one page. In accordance with the instruction of the image controller 210, a controller 270 operates in parallel to the controller 270 and performs the layout of the data to be outputted for every page. In an image synthetic part 280, the image synthesizing is performed for the layout picture, and it is stored in an image memory 281 and is printed out by a color printer 300. |
