PURPOSE:To prevent the laser exposure of an operator. CONSTITUTION:In expendable parts freely attached/detached to/from a laser beam printer, there are some expendable parts to which a memory 13 for writing the number of using times, etc., are attached. Data showing that a part is the expendable one, is stored in the specific address of the memory 13, and read out at the time of attaching. As long as the data is not read out, laser emission can not be executed. Expected data is read out, to confirm that the expendable parts are fitted in a prescribed location. Even if the laser emission is executed at the time of correctly fitting the expendable parts, laser beams are interrupted by the fitted expendable parts, and there is no fear that the operator is irradiated. Therefore, at this time, the emission is possible. In these circumstances, the laser exposure of the operator can be prevented. |
