PURPOSE:To prevent the occurrence of erroneous recognition by interlocking and switching even an input correcting method when a recognition mode is switched by an area mode designation from a CPU. CONSTITUTION:In a color separating circuit 50, the density information, color information and closed loop designation information are prepared from the color element component data of a sensor interface circuit 20. An area recognizing circuit 70 discriminates based on the mark color information from the circuit 50 whether or not the reading picture element is in the closed loop image on an original designated by a marker. The discriminated result is outputted to a picture element unit, and for density information D and color information of the circuit 50, according to the area designation from a CPU 280, the area is switched by a correction filter circuit 150 and an editing processing circuit 160. Based on the discrimination information of the circuit 70, the specific area only is processed, and the CPU 280 switches the circuit 70, interlocks an input correcting method and switches it. Thus, without the influence to the front and rear steps of the circuit 70, the mode is arbitarily switched and the occurrence of the erroneous recognition at each mode can be prevented. |
