PURPOSE:To provide the contact type optical recording medium, such as optical card, veneer type contact structure type optical disk or optical floppy disk, having the sensitivity equal to the sensitivity of an optical disk while maintaining a high sensitivity and high C/N. CONSTITUTION:The film thickness of the recording layer of the contact type optical recording medium which is provided with a recording layer essentially consisting of an org. dye directly or via a UV curing resin layer on a plastic substrate and has an adhesive layer or protective layer on this recording layer is set larger than the film thickness at which the reflectivity at recording and reproducing wavelengths are maximized. The film thickness (d) of the recording layer and the film thickness (d') at which the reflectivity at the recording and reproducing wavelengths are maximized have a relation d>=1.5Xd'. |
