<p>The invention concerns a masking plate designed to provide a simple way of protecting vehicle windows, and the extruded-section frames in which they are fitted, from paint when adjacent areas of bodywork are being sprayed. The invention achieves this by virtue of the fact that the masking plate (5) has two webs (51, 52) disposed at an angle to each other to form an L-shape, with an adhesive coating (6) on at least one surface. The narrower web (52) is designed to be inserted behind the edge (2a) of the window frame (2) adjacent to the area of bodywork (1) to be sprayed. The wider web (51) is designed to adhere to the exterior surface of the window (3) and/or the bodywork.</p> |
