PURPOSE:To prevent forgery and alteration, in a recording material for an identification card, by laminating a transparent protective layer having unevenness to the image forming surface of a base material on which an image is formed by a thermal transfer system. CONSTITUTION:A base material 1 is formed by providing an image receiving layer 1b consisting of a binder such as a vinyl chloride resin and additives such as a release agent or the like on one side of a support 1a made of paper. A gradation data-containing image 3 and a character data-containing image 2 are formed on the surface of the image receiving layer 1b of the base material 1 by a sublimation type thermal transfer system. A transparent protective layer 4 having an ueven surface and composed of a coating agent containing an ultraviolet-curable prepolymer is formed on the image receiving layer 1b containing both images 3, 2. The unevenness of the protective layer 4 is formed by adding a solid filler such as a silica gel to a protective layer forming material or by treating the surface of the formed protective layer 4 with corona discharge. |
