PURPOSE:To remarkably improve magnetic permeability in a low magnetic field region by applying linear magnetic domain fractionization treatment in the prescribed direction with respect to the rolling direction of a double oriented silicon steel sheet containing specific amounts of Si and reducing the width of a magnetic domain. CONSTITUTION:Linear magnetic domain fractionization treatment is applied in the direction of 45 deg.+ or -15 deg. with respect to the rolling direction of a double oriented silicon steel sheet consisting of {100}<001> oriented crystalline grains and containing <=4.5% Si, by which the width of the magnetic domain is reduced. As to the distance between respective lines, a distance of about 1-10mm suffices, though the minimum value varies according to the quality of the double oriented silicon steel sheet as a stock, that is, sheet thickness, the size of crystalline grains, magnetic flux density value, etc. By this method, magnetic permeability in a low magnetic field region can be remarkably improved. |
