<p>PURPOSE:To shorten the time required for forming an image without lowering the resolution of the image, and to prevent defective recording such as a broken character. CONSTITUTION:A head unit 10 is disposed movably in parallel with the shaft of a platen roller 19 in the vicinity of the platen roller 19, on which printing paper 18 is wound. A high-density head 11 with twenty-four heating elements having a specified area and a low-density head 12 with twelve heating elements having a quadruple area are arranged to the head unit 10. Binary image data are separated into high-density head data and low-density head data by a data separation circuit 35. The high-density head 11 formed a first section image having high resolution on the basis of high-density head data and the low-density head 12 forms a second section image having few defective recording on the basis of low-density head data respectively onto the printing paper 18 at high speed.</p> |
