PURPOSE:To improve the functionality of a compound machine obtained by combining a host computer, a copying machine and a laser printer, etc. CONSTITUTION:When a compound mode is specified by the host computer 100 while a single copying-mode is executed in a copying machine 200, the execution is kept waiting for a fixed time. When the single copying mode is finished after the elapse of the fixed time, the compound mode is executed, and when the single mode is still executed, it is continued and the compound mode is cancelled.
