The external fixation apparatus (10) for the fixing of bone fragments (K1, K2) consists of a tubular part (11) whose inside is filled with glass fibres. The fixator tube is fixed by means of nails or screws (12) to the bone fragments (K1, K2) to be fixed. After completion of the assembly, a quick-curing material is introduced into the closed tube system. After the curing, a plastic/glass fibre composite is obtained which has high strength properties and which in an ideal way satisfies the purposes of an external fixation apparatus. ……
