PURPOSE:To improve coloring sensitivity and obtain excellent whiteness (texture fog) by forming on a support body a layer containing at least sensitizer to be expressed by a specific formula, fluorene electron donating colorless color coupler, and electron accepting developer. CONSTITUTION:A thermosensitive recording material suitable for labels is constituted of a layer 2 containing at least a sensitizer A, a fluorene electron donating colorless color coupler B, and an electron accepting developer C arranged on a support body 1. Solubility parameter of the sensitizer A is 10.5-12.5 and the sensitizer is expressed by a formula R<1>X(Y)a OCR<2>-NO2, wherein ester of ethylene glycol mono (alkyl or alkoxy substitution phenyl) ether and nitro phenyl carboxylic acid is preferably used. In the formula, the Y represents an alkylene group with the number of carbons of 1-4 or an alkenylene group with the number of carbons of 2-4, the X denotes O atom, S atom, -CO-, -COS- or -OCO-, and the R<1> and R<2> denote a phenyl group which may have a substituent. |
