PURPOSE:To immediately display a desired tomographic image on a screen by selecting the desired medical image from multi-images prepared by reducing the plural medical images of the same patient. CONSTITUTION:When an indicating instruction is inputted from a a keyboard 7, a patient list is displayed on a monitor 5. When an operator selects a patient name while observing this patient list, a search image corresponding to the patient is retrieved from the inside of a search image memory 4 and displayed on the monitor 5. In this case, the search image executes the multiple display of the plural reduced tomographic images into one image, and the operator selects the desired tomographic image by using a pointing device such as a mouse or the like while observing this search image. Then, the selected tomographic image is displayed on the monitor 5. |
