<p>PURPOSE:To enable practical line switching and to construct an inexpensive system by dynamically switching a DTE address to set packet subscriber rotation between communication processor generating a fault and an auxiliary communication processor. CONSTITUTION:When the fault is generated at a communication processor 13 under working, it is informed of a private packet exchange 28 and a host computer 2 as well. The exchange 28 changes the state of a relevant line (Line 1) into a disconnector. The computer 2 loads a communication program (NPS1) 16 being operates at the communication processor 13 generating the fault and the DTE address (A1) set to a packet subscriber line 22 to an auxiliary communication processor 14 and informs them of the exchange 28. The exchange 28 changes the DTE address setting entry of the Line 1 from the A1 into an unset state and changes the DTE address setting entry of a Line 2 from the unset state into A1.</p> |
