PURPOSE:To provide an image receiving sheet for thermal transfer recording generating no curl at the time of printing and excellent in dimensional stability. CONSTITUTION:A curl preventing layer composed of specific engineering plastic with heat deformation temp. of 100 deg.C or higher is formed to the surface opposite to an image receiving layer of a support or to both surfaces of the support by an extrusion or coating method. By this method, an image receiving sheet for thermal transfer recording generating no curl at the time of printing and excellent in dimensional stability can be provided.
