The proposal is for a truing machine (1) for band-saw blades (2). The truing machine has a bearer device (4) about which the band-saw blade (2) to be trued is laid and on which it can be rotated, a tension measuring path (10) which detects the tension in the band-saw blade (2), a processing unit (6) with a pair of tension rollers (26) adjustable transversely to the direction of movement of the band-saw blande (2) which, when the band-saw blade (2) is rotated, applies a pressure to its longitudinal travel and a control device (8) which controls the processing unit (6) dependently upon the tension detected.
