PURPOSE:To provide collagen beads and a process for producing the same. CONSTITUTION:Collagen beads prepared from an aqueous solubilized collagen solution and an aqueous tannin solution, and a process for producing the same. Collagen beads having a uniform particle diameter and a bilayered structure in which the aqueous solution is held in the inside, and the external surface is solidified, or collagen beads uniformly solidified throughout the entire can be produced. The beads is not contaminated with or is freed from an organic solvent, heavy metals, etc., harmful to the human body and can be used for foods or supports for immobilizing physiologically active substances. |
