<p>A seat reclining device comprises: base plates (10A, 10B) on the outer side and the inner side, which are fixed to the right and left sides of a seat cushion, respectively; and arms (90) fixed to the right and left sides of a seat back and rotatably mounted onto the respective base plates. The seat reclining device further comprises a lock mechanism including upper teeth (20) mounted to the respective arms, lower teeth (30) engageable with and disengageable from the respective upper teeth, and a cam member (50) for actuating the respective lower teeth (50), whereby the cam member is actuated by operating a control lever (40) rotatably mounted to one of the base plates. In the preferred embodiment, at least one of the upper teeth is set to be rotatable through a predetermined angle about the arm.
